The Tropicarnage Cup tournament was first established in 2011 by hardworking, dedicated members of QRDL (Queensland Roller Derby League). It is an annual three day event open to all Queensland leagues and includes some invitational ‘just over the border’ (Northern NSW) leagues. The “Trop Cup” tournament has been a great success starting out with 9 participating leagues and showcased the first ever Australian full length Merby bout in 2011.
The Tropicarnage Cup tournament has now grown in popularity and has hosted up to 13 leagues most years since 2011.
The Tropicarnage cup showcases the best of Queensland’s women’s roller derby (and Northern NSW) and hosts exhibition bouts for both Men’s roller derby and Junior’s roller derby.
